Galvan/Powell Group is a firm in New York. It is located on 1174 Broadway. The exact nature of their business is unclear.
Plot[]
The human Harry Vanderspeigle and Sam Hodges were in some deal with this firm, having received what Galvan/Powell described as a donation for the Patience Health Clinic. They, however, had reason to believe that the company was involved in nefarious activities of some sort and were conducting an investigation into them. Secretly, however, Harry was in contact with a man at the firm and relayed to him that Sam was thinking about going to the police. He asked what the man wanted him to do. Later, Sam died after Harry injected his insulin supply with Botulinum toxin and Harry received a large sum of money from them and kept it in a bag in his cabin.
Following this, Harry Vanderspeigle was killed by an an alien who assumed his identity, the truth of which was later discovered by Asta Twelvetrees. As the two prepared to go on a trip to New York in the hope of finding another alien of Harry's species, Harry revealed to Asta the "money bag" that was in the cabin. Within it, Asta discovered pictures of the human Harry and Sam Hodge's family that Galvan/Powell had sent to try to scare them, and Sam's medical records, along with the note from Sam, "Harry, you wanted more evidence against Galvan/Powell Group. Here. Call me."
Harry is interrogated by a man from the Galvan/Powell Group
Confused by this latest development, Asta looked up Galvan/Powell Group and discovered that they were in New York. She then decided to add this on to the trip, investigating Galvan/Powell at the same time that they were looking for the alien. However, when Asta attempted to enter the group's headquarters, she was turned away at the door by security. At the same time, Harry had absconded to a pie shop and was sitting down to eat when he was approached by a man from Galvan/Powell, apparently the same man whom the human Harry had told about Sam planning to go to the police. As Asta slipped into the cafe, the man sat down across Harry and berated him, asking him why he was in New York when he was supposed to have remained in Patience, Colorado. Not satisfied with Harry's answer, he asked him if he at least destroyed the medical records, but again was annoyed as while Harry told him that he did, it was clear that Harry was simply telling him what he wanted to hear. He left, warning Harry he had no idea who he was messing with.
Later, Harry and Asta's trail was picked up by two security goons from Galvan/Powell. They began chasing after them when they exit the gallery of Violinda Darvell, unaware that they were in possession of an alien egg. They were then shot by Lisa Casper, a military agent in pursuit of aliens, who wondered dispassionately who they were, but left their dead bodies behind to continue the chase, only for Harry and Asta to escape in a cab. The man from the cafe later tracked Harry back to his cabin in Patience. He shot him, unaware that his shot would not be fatal due to Harry's alien physiology. Asta then shot and killed him from behind, but the turmoil attracted the attention of Asta's friend D'arcy Bloom, who up until then was entirely unaware of Harry's true nature.
Meanwhile, while investigating Sam Hodges's murder, Sheriff Mike Thompson and Deputy Liv Baker discovered a list of names with the title Galvan/Powell at the top, hidden inside the backing of a painting in Sam's office. On the list were the following unfamiliar names:

- Troy Hendrick
- James Ford
- Gray Buchannan
- Allison Elwood
Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv, investigating alongside Detective Lena Torres of neighboring Jessup, discover that a company was using Patience's Hawthorne Creek as an illegal dumping ground for toxic chemicals, causing heavy metals to pollute the nearby water. This was responsible for a cluster of cancers and other illnesses within the area. The company in question was a shell corporation of Galvan/Powell Group, hence their attempts to cover up the medical records which would proven the nature of their activities.
Behind the scenes[]
According to an article from Parade and a behind-the-scenes video posted by Syfy, Tanner Corrington is the man who directed the human Harry Vanderspeigle to kill Sam Hodges, and who accosts the alien Harry at the cafe and tries to kill him before being killed by Asta.[1][2]
