Not to be confused with Harry Vanderspeigle's device, which Harry sometimes refers to as a radio in Season 1 to avoid revealing its true purpose.

The radio in operation
Harry Vanderspeigle creates a radio to contact his people.
Plot[]
When Harry tells Asta that his people are coming to kill all humans on Earth, Asta urges Harry to contact his people to tell them to stop. Harry takes on Carlyn's form to get access to equipment at her employer's office. With a completed radio, he goes with Asta into the mountains to send the transmission. Harry receives a signal back, a phone number from New York City, which is later revealed as belonging to a pizza place. Although he and Asta do not find what they are looking for there, outside the pizza place is a mural which leads them to Goliath, a fellow alien of Harry Vanderspeigle's species, and secretly Harry himself from the future.
Construction[]
The radio contains a laser to send the transmission, a dish that is used for both sending a receiving messages, and a smartphone to provide an interface.
Sending & Receiving Messages[]
Sending a message requires exact timing, to provide alignment with Mars Transit Station and allow the message to be bounces off the radio transmitter 'Oumuamua. It also requires transmitting on top of a fissure of Tellurium in order to boost the signal. To begin transmitting, flower petals are placed in the dish. Then a green button on the side is pressed to start rotating the dish. At this point, the flower petals hover above the disk and a laser beam shoots out, sending the message. The symbols being transmitted scroll by on the smartphone interface. If the transmission is at any point cut off before completion, it will fail entirely.
Receiving a message, at least one broadcast from elsewhere on Earth, does not require the fissure of Tellurium, exact timing, or the flower petals.
