Mama Sap's Pizza is a pizza restaurant seen on the Syfy series Resident Alien. It is located in Patience, Colorado's downtown next to the town's theater.
History[]
A small town, Patience nevertheless has many modern conveniences, but has not had a pizza place. When the local Chinese restaurant next to the theater shut down due to the owner Mrs. Lee accusing her husband of cheating, plans started being made to turn it into a gourmet pizza joint.

A few months later, the restaurant opened as Mama Sap's Pizza. At the time, Harry Vanderspeigle, an alien who was posing as a human, was about to activate a device which would kill all humans. As he moved to do so, he heard an advertisement on the radio for the restaurant's grand opening. Having long craved a good pizza during his time on Earth, he dropped what he was doing, thinking that he couldn't kill everyone on an empty stomach, and proceeded immediately to Mama Sap's. There, he enjoyed the celebration that was being held outdoors, folding his pizza as he had been told humans did, and sharing a hug with a happy woman. He purchased a large number of pizzas to take with him back to his home planet. After deciding not to go through with killing all humans, he realized he forgot them in his refrigerator back at home and left them to Asta Twelvetrees.
After crashing back on Earth and deciding to remain, Harry would become a regular customer of Mama Sap's. Their coupons which regularly came in the mail were pretty much the only mail he paid any attention to. When not eating pie at Joe's Diner, he usually ate Mama Sap's Pizza.
Harry is banned from Mama Sap's Pizza thanks to the actions of his son, Bridget, who returns to Earth, determined to ruin his life, after Harry had sent him away alone on a spaceship. Using Harry's human DNA to take his form, he visits Mama Sap's, shouting that the cheese for the pizza comes from her toes.
Behind the scenes[]
Why does the pizza look. the way it does? Appearing at a Television Critics Association panel in the summer of 2022, Tudyk revealed he has "a lot of food allergies," which prohibit him from eating standard pizza. "I haven't been able to really eat pizza for a few years now, and because the character eats pizza, I have to eat pizza... [There's] a whole props department and chefs and things that find ways to make pizza that I'm not allergic to," he added. "So, the only time I can ever eat pizza is at work."
